Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering, has 8+ years as a project lead in large-scale construction, and can communicate in English, Malay and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 8+ years as project lead on mid-to-large-scale construction projects.
• Experience across township, landed and high-rise residential, plus commercial/industrial development.
• Proficiency in project management techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for land, planning, safety, and environment.
• Strong communication in English, Malay and Mandarin.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate project resources to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.
  
• Work closely with senior management to identify, monitor, and resolve risks and issues related to project delivery, including financial performance, quality standards, and timelines.
  
• Perform project assessments and apply value engineering strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  
• Manage all aspects of pre- and post-contract activities.
  
• Track and resolve project risks and challenges, ensuring adherence to financial constraints, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  
• Oversee team-specific tasks with close attention to detail to prevent unexpected issues proactively and cost escalations.
  

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in ConstructionManagement, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  
• A minimum of 8 years of practical experience serving as aproject lead in mid to large-scale projects and construction management.
  
• Exposure to diverse projects, including townshipdevelopment, landed and high-rise residential, as well as commercial andindustrial development, spanning from conceptualization and planning toconstruction and project completion.
  
• Proficiency in project management techniques and tools.
  
• Familiarity with the company's financial performance.
  
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirementspertaining to land matters, planning, building, safety, environmental concerns,defect management, project accounting, project costing, and project scheduling.
  
• Ability to communicate in English, Malay and Mandarin.
  
• Strong organizational abilities, including attention todetail and proficiency in multitasking.
  
• Demonstrated expertise in people management, strategicplanning, risk management, and change management.
