Job summary

Yu Tong Construction Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to delivery. You will lead planning, execution, and completion, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and to high quality standards.

The role requires at least 5 years of PM experience in construction, strong leadership, and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction management practices, methodologies, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects of substantial complexity and value.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software (Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
• Identify discrepancies between tender drawings and actual site conditions.
• Identify and mitigate risks involved in project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and performance against established timelines and financial targets, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
• Manage project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout all project phases.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and attend client, consultants, sub-contractors and site meetings.
• Oversee site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Control project costs, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving initiatives whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless project delivery.
