Job summary

Orient Biotech Sdn Bhd, based in Batu Caves, Selangor, seeks a Production Executive to oversee daily manufacturing operations, manage schedules and ensure quality and safety Standards in Serendah.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in a related field with 2–4 years in production management, and are proficient with production software. ERP/AutoCount knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a related field (Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing or Production Management).
• 2–4 years of experience in production management or a supervisory role in manufacturing/biotech.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control systems.
• Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office.

Orient Biotech Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Executive to join our manufacturing operations team in Serendah, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production facilities. As a Production Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing activities, managing production schedules, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering excellence in biotech manufacturing and directly contributes to the success of our operations and business objectives.

What you'll be doing

Oversee daily production operations and monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures

Manage production schedules and coordinate with various departments to meet production targets and delivery deadlines

Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and minimise defects

Supervise production staff and provide guidance, support and training to ensure optimal team performance

Maintain accurate production records, documentation and reports for regulatory compliance and operational analysis

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency measures to reduce waste and optimise resource utilisation

Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations within the production facility

Communicate effectively with management, cross-functional teams and external stakeholders regarding production status and issues

Troubleshoot production problems and implement solutions to minimise downtime and disruptions

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Management or a related field

2-4 years of experience in production management, manufacturing operations or a similar supervisory role within the manufacturing or biotech industry

Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control systems and manufacturing best practices

Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office applications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders

Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail

Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying solutions

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and regulatory requirements

Proficiency in data analysis and experience with production reporting systems

Flexibility to work shifts as required by production schedules

Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma or continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)

Knowledge in AutoCount system will add advantage
