Job summary

Thong Guan Industries Berhad is seeking a Production Executive to support plastic manufacturing operations. You will supervise daily production activities, coordinate manpower, monitor quality, and ensure adherence to SOPs, 5S and safety standards.

The role requires strong English communication, technical awareness, and the ability to manage priorities in a shift-based environment. The successful candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Production and at least 3 years

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, or equivalent.
• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in production/manufacturing.
• Experience in plastic manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Experience in production supervision or executive-level production operations is preferred.
• Good understanding of production processes, quality control, manpower coordination, and production documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of English, both spoken and written
• Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of production-related issues
• Willing to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment
• Able to work under pressure and manage production priorities effectively

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily production activities and manpower within the assigned production area
• Monitor staff attendance, discipline, performance, break hours, and compliance with company SOPs and work instructions
• Monitor production output, productivity, efficiency, quality, and wastage to ensure production targets are achieved
• Train and guide production employees on work procedures, new systems, and process improvements
• Monitor machine operating parameters such as sealing temperature, machine speed, efficiency, and wastage
• Ensure timely machine start-up and proper pre-production hygiene inspection
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the Maintenance/Technical Team on machine breakdowns and repairs
• Ensure proper housekeeping, cleaning, hygiene, and 5S practices within the production area
• Work closely with Production Planning, Quality Control, Technical/Maintenance, Store, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations
• Monitor and maintain production records, operating controls, checklists, and daily production reports
