Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN GLOBAL HIRE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Procurement Officer for a construction project in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan.

The role focuses on sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, and coordinating suppliers to support timely deliveries. The candidate should have a diploma or degree in procurement or related fields, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and strong negotiation, communication, and Excel/Word skills. Bahasa Malaysia and English are required, with Mandarin an advantage.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience in construction, engineering, M&E, industrial projects, or building materials procurement will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase orders, and delivery coordination.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, tools, and other project requirements.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with suppliers, and support cost control.
• Prepare purchase orders (PO) and maintain proper procurement documentation and records.

• Work closely with project, engineering, site, and commercial teams to understand purchasing requirements.
• Source and develop reliable local suppliers and maintain good supplier relationships.
• Monitor orders and ensure materials and equipment are delivered to the project site on time.
• Assist in resolving supplier, delivery, pricing, and material-related issues.

Procurement Officer (Construction Project)

We are looking for a responsible and well-organised Procurement Officer to support procurement activities for a construction project in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials and equipment, obtaining quotations, coordinating suppliers, following up on deliveries, maintaining procurement records, and supporting the project team's purchasing requirements.

Key responsibilities

Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, tools, and other project requirements.

Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with suppliers, and support cost control.

Prepare purchase orders (PO) and maintain proper procurement documentation and records.

Coordinate with suppliers and follow up on material availability, delivery schedules, and lead times.

About you

Willing to work at the project site in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan.
