Job summary

Synergy Staffing seeks a procurement professional to join our Shah Alam operations. The role requires 3-5 years in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing within manufacturing/industrial settings.

You will develop strategies, manage suppliers, monitor inventories, and collaborate with internal teams to hit cost and quality targets. The ideal candidate has strong negotiation and analytical skills, is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia, and demonstrates ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Proven ability to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery with suppliers.
• Analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance, cost-saving opportunities, and inventory management.
• Ability to build long-term supplier relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrates integrity and ethical procurement practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to inspect goods for defects and ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and procurement to align with quality standards and budget.

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders accurately.
• Monitor inventory and collaborate with departments to forecast demand.

• Maintain strong vendor relationships and act as primary contact.
• Assist in developing procurement strategies to optimize cost savings.
• Prepare regular procurement and supplier performance reports.

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, acting as a primary point of contact for inquiries, order status, and issue resolution.


• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimise cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.


• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings achieved.


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
