Job summary

PEPS Sanly JV Sdn Bhd. is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Executive in Malaysia, Perak, Tanjong Malim, to support sourcing, purchasing and supplier coordination for automotive manufacturing needs.

You will issue POs, track deliveries, liaise with suppliers on lead times and pricing, and maintain procurement records while supporting cost control initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of procurement/purchasing experience in manufacturing or automotive sector.
• Understanding of sourcing, purchasing cycles and supplier communications.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems.
• Detail oriented with strong communication in a fast-paced environment.
• Chinese language is an added advantage for liaising with suppliers/HQ in China.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for raw materials, automotive parts, and indirect services.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely supply for production needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers on lead times, pricing and product availability.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and pricing information.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with terms.
• Collaborate with planning, production, logistics to align procurement with operations.
• Assist in resolving supply delays, quality discrepancies, or shortages.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with warehouse to maintain stock levels.
• Prepare procurement reports and support cost control initiatives.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive to support the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination activities for PEPS Sanly JV Sdn Bhd. This role will assist in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for automotive manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple procurement tasks while maintaining good supplier relationships and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• 1) Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for raw materials, automotive parts, and indirect services.
• 2) Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely supply of goods in line with production needs.
• 3) Coordinate with suppliers on order confirmations, lead times, pricing, and product availability.
• 4) Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases, and material pricing information.
• 5) Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement terms and company guidelines.
• 6) Work closely with internal departments (planning, production, logistics, etc.) to align procurement with operational requirements.
• 7) Assist in resolving supply issues such as delays, quality discrepancies, or shortages.
• 8) Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain optimal stock levels.
• 9) Prepare procurement reports and assist in cost control initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Good understanding of sourcing processes, purchasing cycles, and supplier communications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with procurement or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to speak Chinese is an added advantage to liaise with suppliers or HQ in China.
• A team player with a proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
