Job summary

Leoch Battery (M) Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage end-to-end purchasing for battery components and machinery spare parts, source suppliers, and negotiate terms to ensure quality, value, and timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in a related field, at least 2 years in purchasing, ERP and MS Office proficiency, Mandarin fluency for Chinese suppliers, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong coordination with QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing.
• Fluent in Mandarin is essential for communication with Chinese suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP and MS Office suites.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
• Own transport and willingness to work at the Shah Alam factory.

Job description

The Purchasing Executive is responsible for managing the purchasing processes. The candidate has to ensure the goods and services are acquired at the best value, quality and in a timely manner, contributing to the overall efficiency and smooth operations of the procurement activities.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchase activities for battery components and material. spare parts for machinery and office supplies.
• Source and select suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost and timely delivery of goods.
• Communicative effectively with both local and international supplier.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with suppliers to secure the best deals and ensure cost-efficiency.
• Ensure continuous supply of raw materials and parts to meet production demands.
• Collaborate with internal department to align procurement with company needs and budgets.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure all sourced materials meet company standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and provide regular reports on purchase status and supplier performance.

Requirements
