Job summary

Uchida MK Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement Executive to manage the procurement process for our Shah Alam manufacturing operations. You will coordinate with suppliers, process orders, and ensure timely delivery to support production.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier relationship management, and experience with procurement software. Travel may be required as part of supplier visits and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement/purchasing, ideally in manufacturing/furniture.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external ISO audits related to procurement.
• Assist in preparing procurement reports and analyses for HOD and management.
• Support development of procurement processes, workflow and strategies to drive cost savings.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

About the role

Uchida MK Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Procurement Executive to join our growing team in Section 26, Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time role is responsible for managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services to support our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Support HOD in supervising and guiding department team members.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, terms and delivery schedules
• Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions and other procurement documentation
• Follow up closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality of goods meets the specification
• Maintain good relationship with vendors and suppliers
• Monitor suppliers' performance according to ISO Standards and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain accurate records and inventory levels to support production planning
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs and requirements
• Implement and adhere to procurement policies and procedures
• Support internal and external ISO audits related to procurement.
• Assist in preparing procurement business reports and analysis for HOD and management
