Job summary

Uchida MK Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam, Selangor, is seeking a Procurement Executive to oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials for manufacturing operations.

The role involves negotiating with suppliers, processing purchase orders, and monitoring supplier performance to ISO standards. The ideal candidate has a degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain and at least 3 years' procurement experience, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Min 3 years in procurement or purchasing, ideally in manufacturing/furniture.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient with procurement and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Support HOD in supervising and guiding department team members.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best pricing, terms and delivery.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and procurement docs.
• Ensure on-time delivery and quality meeting specifications.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance per ISO standards and identify improvements.
• Maintain records and inventory levels to support production planning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs.
• Implement and adhere to procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist in ISO audits related to procurement.
• Prepare procurement reports and analyses for HOD/management.
• Support development of processes, workflow, and cost-saving strategies.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
