Job summary

SHENLY MARKETING SDN BHD in Shah Alam is seeking a Purchasing Executive to join our procurement team. This full-time role focuses on sourcing, procuring, and managing inventory to support our manufacturing and logistics operations.

You will collaborate with suppliers, prepare orders, monitor stock levels, and analyse spend to identify cost-saving opportunities. Mandarin communication is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement.
• 2–3 years of purchasing/procurement or inventory management experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Mandarin speaking and writing proficiency required.

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Executive to join our team at SHENLY MARKETING SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Shah Alam, Selangor. The Purchasing Executive will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing inventory to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing and logistics business. This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager and is integral to maintaining cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of materials and services to support our operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms and conditions to secure competitive pricing and quality standards


• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures


• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations teams to forecast procurement needs and prevent stockouts


• Track shipments and manage delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time and in optimal condition


• Maintain detailed records of purchases, invoices, and supplier communications for audit and reporting purposes


• Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues, manage returns, and ensure quality compliance of delivered goods


• Analyse spend data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements


• Support the development and maintenance of supplier relationships to ensure ongoing reliability and performance


• Assist in the implementation of procurement systems and tools to streamline purchasing workflows

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field


• 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within a manufacturing or logistics environment


• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control systems


• Proficiency with Mandarin Speaking and Writing to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.


• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships


• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
