OXFORD INNOTECH BERHAD is seeking a Planner to develop and manage production plans aligned with orders, capacity, and material availability. You will coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Sales and Design to ensure smooth flow and timely delivery, while identifying capacity constraints and potential delivery risks.
The role requires 2–3 years of planning experience and strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The Planner is responsible for developing and managing production plans based on customer orders, delivery requirements, machine capacity, material availability and production priorities. The role will monitor production progress, coordinate material requirements, and work closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales and Design teams to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery. The Planner is also expected to proactively identify capacity constraints, material shortages and potential delivery risks, and coordinate timely actions to minimize production delays.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule production jobs based on machine capacity, production requirements and customer delivery dates.
Monitor daily production output and follow up on production progress.
Check stock availability and material requirements for customer orders.
Coordinate with Design, Production, Sales and Purchasing teams to ensure timely availability of materials and delivery of finished goods.
Monitor shipment schedules and ensure delivery targets are met.
Follow up with buyers on material orders and delivery status.
Monitor production flow, machinist workload and subcontractor capacity.
Maintain proper housekeeping, document control and production records.
Follow up with Sales on customer purchase orders (PO) and ensure required documents are received.
Prepare and maintain relevant reports and records.
Perform tasks according to Work Instructions and SOPs.
Perform other duties and assignments as required by the Company.
Comply with company policies on Intellectual Property and Confidential Information.
Requirements
Education and Qualification
Diploma or Degree in Production Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in production planning, material planning or a similar manufacturing environment.
Experience or exposure in sheet metal manufacturing will be an advantage.
Skills
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Able to coordinate effectively with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Design and other departments.
Able to manage multiple priorities and work under tight delivery schedules.
Good understanding of production flow, material availability and capacity planning.
Proactive in following up on material, production and delivery status.
