Sirijaya Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planner to oversee planning and coordination of production activities in Ipoh, Malaysia. You will manage schedules, monitor inventory, and ensure timely order fulfilment while maintaining the Production Master Plan.
The role requires strong communication, Excel proficiency, and experience with ERP/MRP systems to align capacity, lead times and delivery requirements across departments. This is a full-time on-site position in Ipoh.
This role involves planning and coordinating production activities to ensure timely order fulfilment and efficient production operations. You will manage production schedules, monitor inventory levels, coordinate across departments, and maintain the Production Master Plan to support smooth production flow.
Plan and coordinate production activities based on customer orders, demand forecasts, inventory levels and delivery requirements
Develop, maintain and monitor weekly and monthly production schedules based on plant capacity, production lead times, machine capacity and cycle times
Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of required raw materials according to the production schedule and material requirements
Coordinate with Sales on new enquiries and confirmed orders to assess production capacity, lead times and delivery requirements before committing to production schedules
Monitor finished goods stock levels against customer demand, sales requirements and delivery schedules to ensure adequate stock availability and avoid overproduction or stock shortages
Monitor production progress against the planned schedule and adjust production plans and priorities when necessary to meet delivery commitments
Monitor production capacity and identify potential capacity constraints, bottlenecks, material shortages or schedule conflicts that may affect production output or delivery
Maintain and regularly update the Production Master Plan to reflect changes in customer demand, production schedules, material availability, capacity and delivery requirements
Ensure production plans and schedules are accurately communicated to relevant departments to support smooth production flow and timely order fulfilment
Follow up on production work orders to ensure timely release, completion and closure in accordance with the production schedule
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and coordinate across multiple departments
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyse production and inventory data
Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an added advantage
