Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturer of precision plastic components in Penang. You will plan and coordinate production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts and capacity, ensuring timely delivery.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in SCM, Business Admin, Engineering or related field, 2–3 years’ experience in planning, and familiarity with MRP and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in SCM, Business Admin, Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years in planning, scheduling, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of MRP, capacity planning, or scheduling.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong coordination and communication with stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production schedules based on orders, forecasts, and capacity.
• Monitor and ensure on-time execution of production plans.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Sales teams to align schedules and resources.
• Track production progress and adjust plans based on demand or capacity.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure material readiness to avoid delays.
• Identify bottlenecks or risks in planning and propose solutions.
• Generate planning reports and ERP schedules.
• Support continuous improvement in planning efficiency and lead time reduction.
• Ensure data entry and maintenance of planning parameters in ERP.

Job Description

• Plan and coordinate production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and operational capacity
• Monitor and ensure smooth execution of production plans to meet delivery timelines
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure alignment of schedules and resources
• Track production progress and adjust plans based on changes in demand, capacity, or priorities
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure material and production readiness to avoid delays
• Identify potential bottlenecks or risks in production planning and propose solutions
• Generate planning reports, performance updates, and production schedules using ERP systems

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in planning, production scheduling, or related manufacturing role
• Knowledge of production planning concepts (MRP, capacity planning, or scheduling)
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Strong coordination and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
