Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the production planning section to meet customer demand with on-time delivery and quality at reasonable cost.
• Perform long-term machine capacity planning and manpower forecasting to ensure optimal resource use.
• Collaborate with order processing to resolve scheduling or capacity conflicts for delivery and cost optimization.
• Plan, regulate and adjust production schedules based on demand and lead times.
• Monitor daily production progress to ensure activities follow the plan.
• Expedite operations by coordinating with departments and ensuring resources (manpower, materials, jigs, machines) are available.
• Support new product introductions by defining processes and required resources.
• Maintain accurate planning data in Dynamics 365 and FASTEM with timely transactions.
• Communicate with departments to address quality issues, component availability, and critical delivery deadlines.
• Maintain optimal stock levels at finished goods and kitting areas to meet demand.

Job description

We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team to lead and coordinate production planning section, perform strategic planning to meet customer demand, with timely delivery of all products in required quality and at reasonable cost level

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Leading and coordinate production planning section, perform strategic planning to meet customer demand, with timely delivery of all products in required quality and at reasonable cost level
• Perform long term machine capacity planning and manpower requirement according to forecast, ensure resources are utilized fully and effectively
• Work closely with order processing, making strategic decisions in case and conflict in schedule or capacity for the best interest of customer in terms of delivery and cost
• Plan, regulate and alter production schedule according to demand and with established manufacturing sequences and lead times
• Follow up daily production progress to ensure all activities are carried out according to plan
• Expedite production operations by organizing with various functions and ensuring availability of necessary resources e.g. manpower, raw material, jigs/fixture, as well as machine with right program and parameter
• Support new product introduction to define new processes and resources required
• Ensure accurate information while planning using Dynamics ERP system (D365) and Flexible Manufacturing System (FASTEM) with accurate data entry and timely transactions
• Communication with all responsible departments in case of quality issues, availability of parts and components, critical delivery deadlines, initiation and implementation of improvement measures.
• Ensure optimum stock level at both finished goods store and material kitting area to meet demand and delivery
• To assume tasks, assignment given by supervisor as deemed necessary in improving current system
• Minimum 5years of working experience in Production Planning.
