Job summary

A leading operations company in Malaysia is looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager/Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, including logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the palm oil refinery industry and hold a relevant degree. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. This role involves compliance with trade regulations and certifications. A competitive salary and benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in related industry, preferably in the palm oil refinery.
  • Knowledge of PORAM contracts, MPOB licensing regulations and Incoterms is an advantage.

  • Ensure timely delivery of products to domestic and international customers.

Assistant Operations Manager/ Operations Manager (MMOF)

Job Description:

  • Oversee daily operations such as receiving and despatch activity, weighbridge operation and tank farm.
  • Oversee raw material and product inventory closely and prepare the planning chart by coordinating with marketing and production team.
  • Ensure the stock variance is closely monitored and take prompt action when required.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to domestic and international customers.
  • Liaise with the Lab department to resolve any quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Liaise with shipping agents, port authorities and logistics providers.
  • Oversee the preparation and verification of shipping and export documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local customs, trade regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and control the logistics cost.
  • Ensuring compliance with certifications such as HACCP, GMP, HALAL, RSPO, MSPO and ISCC.
  • Oversee workforce planning and training to ensure the team is adequately equipped to meet business demands.
  • Fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in any relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in related industry, preferably in the palm oil refinery.
  • Knowledge of PORAM contracts, MPOB licensing regulations and Incoterms are added advantage.
  • Possess experience in SAP software will be an added advantage.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
