Job summary

ETC Cleaning Services Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Operations Supervisor to manage site cleaning operations across assigned sites, coordinating with housekeeping teams and ensuring standards are met.

You will plan tasks, supervise crew, and maintain client relationships, while applying cost controls and QHSE practices.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in cleaning services and a relevant qualification; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review scope of work as specified in the Service Agreement with client.
• Set up new contract requirements, including time estimates, staffing, materials, equipment and costs.
• Represent ETC Cleaning Services Sdn Bhd positively to clients.
• Supervise and evaluate staff; manage performance, training, and grievances.
• Carry out ad-hoc assignments from management.

Job description

• Responsible for managing the Company's Operation activities for all the sites assigned under his/her care. This includes coordinating with housekeeping teams and conducting inspections for all assigned sites to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• Ability to manage priorities and demands and solve problems, support staff, as well as perform the duties of a supervisor when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and/or implement operational procedures and standards
• Plan and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisor/team leader and their crew
• Coordinate inspections and inspect assigned areas to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• Review detailed scope of work as specified in the Service Agreement with client.
• Set up new contract requirements, including time estimates, staffing, materials, equipment and costs.
• Consistently present ETC Cleaning Services Sdn Bhd and its services in a positive manner to the client.
• Supervise and evaluate the work of employees; effectively recommend personnel actions related to selection, disciplinary procedures, performance, training, and development, leaves of absence, and grievances to the Human Resource Department.
• Carry out any other assignment as assigned by management from time to time.
• General QHSE management and monitoring and ensure all sites KPI's are achieved
• Any other ad-hoc assignments from time to time as assigned by Management.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE

• To compile & submit claims for management approval from site team leaders/supervisor.
• To prepare & approve Stock Requisition within the approved limit.
• To issue a stop work order in relation to HSE violations.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATION: Minimum SPM, Diploma or Degree in any Field

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year of experience in the cleaning-related industry

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Understanding and full knowledge of cleaning-related services.

REQUIRED

• Good fundamental knowledge of company cleaning standards and training.
• Knowledge of basic computer software, e.g., Microsoft Office
• Ability to make cost and budget analysis and project operating costs.
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
• Strong leadership and analytical quality, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good incident report writing skills.
• Self-starter, mature and independent.

WORK LOCATION AND WORK HOURS:

• Work Location is as assigned by Management
• Working Hours will be as follows:
  • Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 6.00 pm (Break 1.5hours)
  • Saturday: 8.30 am to 1.00 pm
  • Sunday: Rest Day
