Job summary

CTC Global Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an On-site Technical Support professional to provide hands-on assistance for desktop hardware, software, printers, and network issues, with installation and configuration of Windows OS and applications. A Diploma or Bachelor’s in CS/IT and at least 1 year IT support experience are required.

The role covers moves, changes, preventive maintenance, escalation, and project rollouts. Travel and possible overtime are required; 12-month contract envisaged.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support, administration, maintenance, and configuration.
• Proficient in Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, antivirus software, and other desktop applications.
• Familiarity with PC hardware, printers, and networking equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or rotational shifts; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for desktop hardware, desktop applications, email, printers, and network issues.
• Install, de-install, configure, and support Windows OS, Windows applications, and other user applications.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and resolution for hardware and software issues.
• Perform hardware and software moves, adds, and changes as required by clients or projects.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure system performance.
• Invoke escalation process to the next level of support when necessary.
• Participate in project rollouts, including the installation of new systems and technologies.
• Basic hardware examples: desktop, laptop, printers.
• Intermediate hardware examples: POS, Server and Network first level support
