Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to support AI Data Center environments in Malaysia. You will deliver hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and rapid recovery of Dell hardware at customer sites, ensuring high system uptime and reliability.

Role involves on-site technical work, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and responsible ownership of service delivery from diagnostics to repair.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering or related field is required.
• 3–6 years in field service, data center or technical support with hardware troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and support on-call/overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for AI Server systems to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and software issues; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Perform server maintenance, firmware upgrades, and health checks; process Field Change Orders (FCOs).
• Collaborate with engineering and customer teams to resolve critical issues and validate firmware updates.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to service efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation as a trusted advisor on Dell AI and data center infra.
