Job summary

Dell Technologies Malaysia is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer for Penang to support AI Server systems, delivering hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and rapid recovery at customer locations. You will work with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement, including firmware upgrades and preventive maintenance.

This role requires 3–6 years in field/service, a IT-related degree, and willingness to travel; Dell certifications are a plus,

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of field service or data center experience with AI servers and related hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret system logs and performance data for troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and support on-call or alternate schedules.
• Dell certifications or industry certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for AI Server systems to ensure reliability and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot hardware, firmware and software issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Perform server maintenance including firmware upgrades and health checks.
• Collaborate with engineering and customers to resolve issues and verify firmware updates.
• Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to service efficiency.
