Job summary

BHS Integrated Solutions Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer/Technician to install, service and maintain mechanical systems and equipment used in logistics, including semiconductor and advanced manufacturing gear.

You will travel to customer sites, read drawings, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards while collaborating with project teams and clients on-site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics preferred.
• Experience in field service, installation or industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and diagnose mechanical issues.

Mechanical Field Service Engineer/ Technician

This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Field Service Technician/Engineer role based in Melaka. The role involves installing, maintaining, and servicing mechanical systems and machinery related to logistics operations, including semiconductor and advanced manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections and diagnose mechanical issues
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment
• Support equipment moves and setups at customer locations
• Collaborate with project teams on service activities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to clients

About you

• Skills in Maintenance and Inspection for mechanical systems and industrial equipment
• Skills in Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for understanding, interpreting, and working with mechanical designs and layouts
• Skills in Automotive mechanics or related mechanical disciplines, beneficial for handling transport-related machinery and equipment
• Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is preferred
• Experience in field service, equipment installation, or industrial maintenance, ideally in semiconductor, manufacturing, or logistics environments
• Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients on-site
• Willingness to work in the field, travel to customer locations as needed, and perform physically hands-on tasks
