Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• 1–2 years field service, maintenance, or related technical role (fresh grads with internship ok).
• Comfort reading engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Malaysia.
• Willingness to overtime or weekends for urgent breakdowns.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service equipment at customer sites.

About the Role

Our client, a leading Chinese manufacturer, is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a junior engineer who wants hands‑on exposure to installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment at real customer sites. You'll work closely with senior engineers and technicians while building your fault‑diagnosis and customer‑facing skills.

What You'll Do

• Assist with and carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of equipment at customer sites
• Perform inspection, calibration, and basic troubleshooting under guidance from senior engineers
• Support preventive maintenance, breakdown response, and equipment condition checks
• Read and follow mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Carry out testing after repair or installation to confirm equipment is working safely
• Prepare service reports, inspection records, and spare‑parts lists
• Explain basic equipment operation and safety points to customers and operators
• Provide first‑line technical support by phone or email when needed
• Keep tools, spare parts, and company equipment organized
• Follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping (5S) at all times

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field
• 1–2 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or a related technical role (fresh grads with strong internship exposure will also be considered)
• Comfortable reading engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Basic understanding of workplace safety and maintenance practices
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites within Malaysia
• Willingness to occasionally work overtime or weekends for urgent breakdown support
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mand arin is a plus
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office to prepare simple reports

Nice to Have

• Exposure to multimeters, clamp meters, or insulation testers
• Basic mechanical work — alignment, bearing replacement, lubrication
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, or industrial automation
