Job summary

foodpanda is seeking a Specialist, Business Development to join our Marketplace team in Malaysia, based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. You will drive growth by onboarding new vendors and presenting our services through in-person and virtual meetings.

Reporting to the Shops Commercial Lead, you will build a robust sales pipeline, close high-value deals in F&B, FMCG, and retail, and ensure smooth handover to Vendor Onboarding while supporting activation of new accounts.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in B2B sales, business development, or partnership roles—preferably within F&B, retail, or FMCG industries.
• Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-starter mindset with ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new vendors to the foodpanda marketplace.
• Introduce foodpanda’s services to prospective partners through in-person and virtual meetings.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline and identify new opportunities through outreach and market research.
• Negotiate and close high-value deals with partners across F&B, FMCG, and retail sectors.
• Ensure a seamless handover to the Vendor Onboarding team and support activation of new accounts.
• Gather market insights to identify trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Account Management to deliver excellent partner experiences.
