Job summary
QL Maxincome Sdn Bhd is seeking an ERP Applications Lead to guide a technical team in developing and supporting enterprise systems, including ERP and data reporting. The role emphasizes driving automation, system integrations, and data quality within a retail/ FMCG context. On-site work at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam is required.
You will mentor developers, coordinate with vendors, and manage SIT/UAT, deployments, and change control to ensure successful delivery and governance of ERP initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of ERP application development, business application support, system implementation, or related experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring technical team members.
- Experience with ERP systems, business applications, or enterprise solutions.
- Experience managing system enhancement projects and coordinating with external vendors.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query development.
- Ability to develop and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, reports, and data extraction programs.
- Good understanding of system integration concepts, including APIs, SFTP, batch processing, and data interfaces.
- Familiarity with automation or scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with reporting and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of SIT, UAT, production deployment, and change management processes.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, supply chain, or finance systems is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
- Willing to work on-site at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

2. Business Requirements & Solution Design
Work closely with business users to understand operational requirements and enhancement requests.
Analyze business processes and translate requirements into functional specifications.
Recommend system enhancements and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Report Development & Data Management
Develop and maintain reports, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction programs.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of business information.
Support users in report validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
Monitor data integrations between ERP and related systems.
Coordinate with vendors to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and interface issues.
Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and successful processing of system integrations.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reporting activities.
Develop and maintain automated jobs, scripts, and scheduled processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and system performance.
6. Testing & Change Management
Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Validate system enhancements and fixes prior to production deployment.
Ensure proper documentation, testing, and change management procedures are followed.
Serve as the key liaison between business users, vendors, and the IT team.
Investigate and coordinate resolution of application-related issues.
Provide user guidance, training, and support for new system functionalities and processes.
Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables with internal stakeholders and vendors.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation actions.
Provide regular project status updates and escalatory critical issues when necessary.
9. Governance & Documentation
Ensure system changes, user access requests, and development activities comply with IT policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation for system enhancements, reports, interfaces, and operational processes.
Support audit, compliance, and governance requirements related to ERP systems.
