MANAGER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (OEM BUSINESS)
Bateriku is looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager to spearhead and scale our OEM business.
This is not a relationship-management role. We are looking for someone who can open doors, build strategic partnerships, convert opportunities, and create sustainable revenue with automotive OEMs and their ecosystems.
The successful candidate will position Bateriku's nationwide automotive support ecosystem—including battery services, roadside assistance, towing, diagnostics, workshop services and our extensive ground network—as a strategic solution for OEM partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute Bateriku's OEM business development strategy and pipeline.
- Identify, engage and secure partnerships with passenger-car, commercial-vehicle, EV and mobility OEMs.
- Build relationships with OEM senior management across Aftersales, Customer Experience, Warranty, Network Development, Mobility and Procurement.
- Develop commercial propositions covering:
- Nationwide Roadside Assistance (RSA)
- Battery supply, installation and replacement
- Towing and accident assistance
- Mobile diagnostics and technical assistance
- BGarage workshop/service network
- EV roadside and technical support
- Nationwide field-service solutions
- Digital/API integration with OEM platforms
- Lead RFQ/RFP/tender submissions, commercial negotiations and contract closure.
- Coordinate internally with Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal and Customer Experience to ensure commercial promises can be delivered operationally.
- Develop strategic account plans to expand successful OEM relationships into multiple revenue streams.
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline with clear targets, milestones, probability of closure and revenue potential.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Within the first 12 months, we expect the candidate to build a credible OEM pipeline, secure strategic OEM accounts and demonstrate measurable new revenue contribution.
- Success will be measured through qualified pipeline value, OEM accounts secured, contracts signed, revenue generated, account expansion and profitability.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Ideally 5–10+ years' experience in automotive OEM, aftersales, fleet, mobility, roadside assistance, insurance automotive services or related B2B business development.
- Strong existing relationships within Malaysia's automotive industry are highly advantageous.
- Most importantly, we want someone who is resourceful, commercially aggressive, accountable and able to execute with speed.
- You must be comfortable starting with a blank sheet, opening doors yourself and carrying opportunities all the way from introduction to signed contract and implementation.
- This role is for a builder—not a caretaker.
