Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to attend to repairs and maintenance of all plant systems, including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, and to perform general and emergency repairs as required.

The role includes meter readings for utility costs, inspections, and ensuring safety features operate optimally. You will liaise with maintenance electrical contractors on site and support cost-minimization efforts while working weekends and public holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or recognized trade qualification.
• Technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and wiring.
• AO Chargeman certification is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and relevant safety regulations.

This role involves attending to repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment, including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. You will perform general and emergency repairs and maintenance to all plant and equipment, conduct regular and documented inspections, and ensure Fire and Engineering safety features operate optimally.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning
• Carry out meter readings to maintain records for utility costs throughout the building, including those of tenants when required
• Perform general and emergency repairs and maintenance to all plant and equipment within an acceptable timeframe
• Conduct regular and documented inspections of plant and equipment as per the checklist and statutory requirements
• Ensure Fire and Engineering safety features operate optimally, and familiarize self with emergency procedures
• Assist management to minimize wastage and costs
• Liaise with and supervise Maintenance Electrical Contractors on site

Requirements:

• i) Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, and recognized trade qualification.
• ii)Possesses technical and problem-solving abilities.
• iii)Experience in electrical troubleshooting and wiring. Possession of an AO Chargeman competency certificate or above will be an added advantage.
• iv) Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and knowledge in relevant legislation (building codes, fire safety, and country standards).
• v)Sound information system knowledge.
• vi)Fine attention to detail and quality.
• vii) Demonstrates ability to work in a team.
• viii) Willing to work during weekend & Public Holiday.
