Job summary

C-PAK Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems across the factory.

You will troubleshoot faults, inspect panels, motors, pumps, and related equipment; read schematics; support with PLC/VFD knowledge; and work overtime or on shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in facility electrical maintenance is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, motors, wiring, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, inverter/VFD, generator, and building electrical systems is an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work overtime, standby, or on shifts when required.
• Safety-conscious and familiar with electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs promptly.
• Maintain and inspect electrical panels, distribution boards, wiring, lighting systems, motors, pumps, and other electrical equipment.
• Monitor and maintain facility electrical systems, including power distribution, generators, UPS systems, and related equipment.
• Perform routine inspection and testing of electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Carry out installation, modification, and upgrading of electrical systems and equipment.
• Support facility maintenance activities involving air-conditioning systems, compressors, pumps, water systems, and other building services.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Ensure all electrical maintenance work complies with company safety procedures and applicable electrical regulations.
• Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, inspections, and repair activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and external service providers for electrical and facility maintenance work when required.
• Maintain adequate spare parts, tools, and electrical maintenance materials.
• Support facility improvement, expansion, and installation projects.
• Participate in emergency response, standby duty, or overtime when required.
• Ensure good housekeeping and a safe working environment within the facility.
• Perform other duties assigned by the superior.
