Job summary

Presto Universal Construction Sdn Bhd invites a skilled Facilities / Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of retail stores, commercial spaces, and project facilities.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, install and service air conditioning units, perform routine servicing, and document work while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical/Mechanical related field.
• 2-3 years hands-on maintenance experience.
• Able to diagnose problems and carry out repairs independently.
• Familiar with common hand and power tools for handyman work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical works, incl. AC, mechanical, lighting.
• Perform regular inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain high-end finishes and ensure quality standards.
• Assist with planned maintenance schedules and timely completion.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to minimise downtime.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot air conditioning systems (split/window/cassette).
• Interpret technical drawings for installations and commissioning.
• Conduct routine servicing and component overhauls.
• Respond to service calls, breakdowns, and emergency repairs.
• Prepare service reports and obtain client acknowledgement.

Presto Universal Construction Sdn Bhd is looking for a skilled and reliable Facilities / Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of retail stores, commercial spaces, and project facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot & repair electrical works to ensure functionality, including but not limited to air-conditioning, mechanical, lighting.
• Perform regular inspections to identify potential maintenance problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the maintenance of high-end finishes and ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Assist with planned maintenance schedules and ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timelines.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults, identifying root causes to minimise system downtime.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service a wide range of air conditioning systems, including split, window, and cassette units at client sites.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to carry out installations, system commissioning, testing, and performance verification.
• Conduct routine servicing, including filter cleaning, chemical cleaning, and equipment overhauls.
• Install, replace, and repair faulty components such as compressors, fan coil motors, and other air conditioning equipment.
• Respond promptly to service calls, breakdowns, emergency repairs, and maintenance requests.
• Prepare accurate service reports and maintain detailed records of all installation, maintenance, and repair work, obtaining client acknowledgement upon completion.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations, company service standards, work procedures, and client requirements to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Carry out any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Job Specifications:

• Diploma, certificate, or relevant technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant hands-on maintenance experience
• Ability to diagnose problems and carry out repairs independently.
• Familiar with the use of common hand and power tools to carry out handyman works e.g. painting, carpentry work, part replacements etc.
• Reliable, responsible, and service-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work well independently and in teams
• Able to cope and perform in a fast-paced environment
