Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions (M) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia for a 6-month contract. The role requires a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Electrical, or Tooling and hands-on experience with grinding workshop machinery, milling, and CNC processes.

Shift work includes day and night cycles with several leave provisions and allowances. The position emphasizes independent work, ability to read mechanical drawings, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Electrical, or Tooling field.
• Knowledge and experience with grinding workshop, or similar capacity and industry.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to understand mechanical drawing.
• Knowledge and experience to operate machines such as milling and grinding (CNC).
• Able to work in shift patterns and communicate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up new products, including installation of plating tools and configuration of machine parameters.
• Prepare and set up machines and processes according to work orders and specifications.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment defects and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain machine and process stability for continuous production operations.
• Carry out routine chemical replenishment and monitoring for optimal conditions.
• Conduct regular machine condition checks to prevent interruptions.
• Assist in preventive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
• Ensure 5S and housekeeping in maintenance and production areas.
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance and production reports.

Position: Maintenance Technician
Contract: 6 months under PERSOL Workforce Solutions (M) Sdn. Bhd
Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia
Company background: Electronic Manufacture
Basic salary: RM1900 - RM2,500 (based on experience)

Allowance:

• Elaun shift RM 10/day
• Elaun transport RM 4/day
• Elaun sarapan RM 3.50/day

OT: candidate may ask during interview session

Friday prayer 12.30pm-2.30pm

Shift

• 8am-5.45pm (day)
• 8am-7pm (Fri)
• Solat 12.30pm-2.30pm
• 8pm-5.45am (night)
• Break 5.45-6.30 (am/pm)

If OT will start 6.30-8 (am/pm)

Shift pattern : 4 day shift, 2 offday, 4 night shift, 2 offday

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Tooling field.
• Knowledge and experience with grinding workshop, or similar capacity and similar industry.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to understand mechanical drawing.
• Knowledge and experience to operate the machine such as milling, grinding, CNC milling/grinding.
• Work in shift pattern
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively within a team environment
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks

Responsibilities:

• Set up new products, including installation of plating tools and configuration of machine parameters to meet operational and process requirements.
• Prepare and set up machines and processes in accordance with approved work orders, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment defects, process issues, and production line abnormalities to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and restore machine and process stability to ensure continuous and efficient production operations.
• Carry out routine chemical replenishment and monitoring to maintain optimal operating conditions and process performance.
• Conduct regular machine condition checks and inspections to prevent unplanned production interruptions.
• Assist in implementing and executing scheduled preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and lifespan.
• Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards in the maintenance and production areas.
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance and production reports, records, and documentation in accordance with established procedures.

There will be 2 level of interview. First will be the dept and second will be with the operation director.
