Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Pasir Gudang, Johor. The role involves setting up and maintaining production equipment, performing root-cause analysis, and ensuring stable machine performance across 4-day/2-off and night shifts.

The candidate should hold a relevant Diploma and have hands-on experience with grinding, milling and CNC operations, with the ability to read drawings and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Electrical, or Tooling field.
• Knowledge of grinding workshop or similar industry.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to read mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up new products, install plating tools and configure machine parameters.
• Prepare and set up machines per work orders and specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment defects and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain machine and process stability for continuous production.
• Monitor chemical replenishment and process conditions.
• Perform regular machine checks to prevent interruptions.
• Assist in preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
• Ensure 5S and housekeeping standards in maintenance areas.
• Prepare maintenance and production reports and records.

Position: Maintenance Technician
Contract: 6 months under PERSOL Workforce Solutions (M) Sdn. Bhd
Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia
Company background: Electronic Manufacture
Basic salary: RM1900 - RM2,500 (based on experience)

Allowance:

• Elaun shift RM 10/day
• Elaun transport RM 4/day
• Elaun sarapan RM 3.50/day

OT: candidate may ask during interview session

Friday prayer 12.30pm-2.30pm

8am-5.45pm (day)
8am-7pm (Fri)
Solat 12.30pm-2.30pm
8pm-5.45am (night)
Break 5.45-6.30 (am/pm)

If OT will start 6.30-8 (am/pm)

Shift pattern : 4 day shift, 2 offday, 4 night shift, 2 offday

Requirements:

• 1. Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Tooling field.
• 2. Knowledge and experience with grinding workshop, or similar capacity and similar industry.
• 3. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• 4. Able to understand mechanical drawing.
• 5. Knowledge and experience to operate the machine such as milling, grinding, CNC milling/grinding.
• 6. Work in shift pattern
• 7. Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively within a team environment
• 8. Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks

Responsibilities:

• 1. Set up new products, including installation of plating tools and configuration of machine parameters to meet operational and process requirements.
• 2. Prepare and set up machines and processes in accordance with approved work orders, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• 3. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment defects, process issues, and production line abnormalities to minimize downtime.
• 4. Maintain and restore machine and process stability to ensure continuous and efficient production operations.
• 5. Carry out routine chemical replenishment and monitoring to maintain optimal operating conditions and process performance.
• 6. Conduct regular machine condition checks and inspections to prevent unplanned production interruptions.
• 7. Assist in implementing and executing scheduled preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and lifespan.
• 8. Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards in the maintenance and production areas.
• 9. Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance and production reports, records, and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
