Job summary

Paper Base Converting in Malaysia seeks a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and support machine installations while ensuring safety and inventory control.

The ideal candidate holds a certificate/diploma in mechanical or electrical fields with at least 1 year of related experience, and is willing to work overtime or shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is advantageous.
• Willing to work overtime or shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair machines, equipment, and facilities breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the scheduled maintenance plan.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems.
• Ensure spare parts availability and maintain inventory.
• Record maintenance, repair, breakdown, and PM activities.
• Coordinate with external contractors when specialized maintenance is required.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and according to company procedures.
• Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Support machine installation, modification, and improvement projects when required.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Troubleshoot and repair machines, equipment, and facilities breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) according to the scheduled maintenance plan.

Conduct regular inspections of machines, equipment, and facilities to identify potential problems.

Ensure critical machine spare parts is available and maintain proper spare parts inventory.

Carry out basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility repairs.

Record maintenance, repair, breakdown, and PM activities properly.

Identify recurring problems and recommend suitable corrective actions.

Coordinate with external contractors or service providers when specialized maintenance is required.

Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and according to company procedures.

Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

Support machine installation, modification, and improvement projects when required.

Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Job Requirement

Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.

Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical will be an advantage.

Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment will be an advantage.
