Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Mechanical & Electrical to keep production machines running safely and efficiently through preventive and corrective maintenance. You will perform PM on equipment, inspect components, and address breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Key duties include diagnosing mechanical/electrical problems, servicing components, and maintaining records. Strong adherence to safety, LOTO, and housekeeping standards is required for this on-site role in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and 5S in the maintenance area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on production machines and equipment
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components according to maintenance schedules
• Perform lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, tightening, replacement, and servicing of equipment
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and equipment failures
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems
• Repair or replace defective components to restore equipment operation
• Perform basic electrical inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
• Assist with installation, commissioning, relocation, and modification of machines and equipment
• Record machine breakdowns, repair activities, spare parts used, and downtime

• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and maintenance work instructions

• Ensure machines are safely isolated before repair or servicing
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment hazards, accidents, and near misses
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards in the maintenance area
• Check and maintain maintenance tools and equipment
• Ensure tools are properly stored and maintained
• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance records
• Maintain equipment history and maintenance documentation
