Job summary

Momo House in Alor Setar, Kedah is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping. You will plan staff schedules, assign tasks, monitor workflow to meet daily production goals, ensure on-time order dispatch, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Experience in supervising forklift operators and clerks is preferred. The role requires strong leadership, attention to safety, and the ability to resolve bottlenecks

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in a related field with warehouse supervision exposure.
• Proven experience leading warehouse, logistics or inventory teams.
• Strong knowledge of inventory controls, cycle counts and stock rotation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping.
• Plan staff schedules, assign tasks, monitor workflow to meet daily goals.
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time.
• Optimize space and layout for efficiency; supervise forklift operators and clerks.
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and annual inventories.
• Enforce safety policies and address personnel issues promptly.

Work Experience:

Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a leadership role within warehouse, logistics, or inventory management.

Experience overseeing end-to-end warehouse workflows (receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping).

Technical Knowledge & Operational Capabilities:

Solid understanding of inventory control practices, cycle counts, stock discrepancy investigation, and stock rotation methods (e.g., FIFO/FEFO).

Knowledge of warehouse space optimization and layout planning.

Familiarity with health, safety, and occupational regulations in a warehouse environment.

Ability to oversee routine inspection and maintenance of equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems).

Leadership & Soft Skills:

Leadership skills to train, motivate, supervise, evaluate, and coach warehouse staff, forklift operators, and clerks.

Strong organization and time-management skills to coordinate staff schedules and workflow tasks.

Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities to handle personnel issues and operational bottlenecks.

• Ensure that all orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time to meet customer expectations.

• Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout for maximum efficiency.

• Train, motivate, and supervise a team of warehouse associates, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving clerks.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback or coaching.

• Resolve any team conflicts and address personnel issues promptly.

• Maintain highly accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.

• Investigate and resolve any stock discrepancies or missing items.

• Ensure proper stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/FEFO) to minimize waste and obsolescence.

• Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies and occupational health and safety regulations.

• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.

• Oversee the routine inspection and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
