Job summary

Sunningdale Tech Penang Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Leader in Batu Kawan, Malaysia. You will plan, direct, and optimize daily warehouse and logistics operations to meet production schedules and service targets.

The role requires leading a team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving improvements in layout, safety, and efficiency. You will collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and external logistics partners to ensure smooth material flow.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in a related field.
• 3–5 years in warehouse/logistics with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience with safety, 5S, and ERP/WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations ensuring SOPs and targets.
• Lead, coach, and supervise personnel to achieve KPIs.
• Manage inventory accuracy with stock control, counts, reconciliations.
• Drive continuous improvements to layout and material handling efficiency.
• Ensure safety, 5S, and security standards in the workplace.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and external providers.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and act on behalf of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager when required.

Job description

To assist the Manager in leading, planning, and directing overall warehouse and logistics operations. To ensure all inventory management, material handling, receiving, and shipping activities are executed with maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and full safety compliance. Serves as a key operational leader driving process improvements, cross-departmental coordination, team performance management, and organizational objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs, productivity targets, and efficient workflow management.

Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse personnel to achieve departmental KPIs, maintain high performance, and foster a positive work culture.

Manage inventory accuracy through stock control, cycle counts, reconciliation, and variance analysis within the ERP system.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, material handling efficiency, and overall logistics performance.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, 5S practices, company policies, and security standards while maintaining a safe working environment.

Coordinate closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and external logistics providers to ensure smooth material flow and on-time deliveries.

Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance, support logistics service performance, and act on behalf of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager when required.

Requirement & Qualification

Diploma and above or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and ERP/WMS systems.

Forklift license/certification and knowledge of warehouse safety practices will be an added advantage.
