Job summary

ASMPT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a warehouse/kitting specialist to organize workflows, manage inventory, and support production through accurate material planning and timely deliveries.

The role requires 5 years of relevant experience, aBachelor’s degree in Logistics/Store/Warehouse Mgmt or Science, and proficiency with SAP/WMS and Excel. Candidates should be able to work under pressure and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Store/Warehouse Mgmt or Science required.
• 5 years plus experience in logistics/store/warehouse operations desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP / WMS and ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 understood.

Responsibilities

• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
• Maintain stock control, stock counts and housekeeping in warehouse.
• Ensure inventory levels are accurate and timely; coordinate with Finance & Production for cycle counts.
• Lead and participate in MRB meetings; ensure incident follow-ups are closed.
• Ensure kitting and material reservations support production without downtime.
• Trace discrepancies and implement corrective/preventive actions to close gaps.
• Chart and report monthly kitting performance and inventory status.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure proper documentation.

Job description

Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.

Responsible for the issuance of materials and supplies to all shopfloor based on Production / Job Order.

Responsible for HC planning and monitoring daily kitting operations in store / warehouse.

Responsible for prioritizing work orders and organizing tasks based on project deadlines.

Ensure Kitting of material accuracy and on timely manner especially on reservation to avoid production line down.

Responsible for stock control, Stock count and housekeeping operations of warehouse.

Responsible for ensuring that inventory levels are maintained in a timely, accurate manner.

Work with Finance & production to ensure periodic cycle counts/inventory counts are conducted. (Inventory accuracy 99%)

Implement FIFO system, block stock procedure, Missing part location process and materials scrap process in a timely manner.

Ensure the materials quality recall procedure is well executed.

Coordinate the MRB meeting, timely disposition and closed loop follow up actions.

Ensure Kitting Team properly locate and identify products, verify and count received items, and complete system scanning and paperwork accurately.

Monitor and closely follow up on kitting discrepancies (if any) with corrective action and preventive actions to close issue on time.

Lead and coordinate the stock count activities.

To chart, monitor and report monthly Kitting performance and inventory stock status.

maintain a clean and organized workplace.

Work closely with the person responsible for the movement of materials out from warehouse location in preparation for internal transfer of material and conduct delivery activities.

Ensure the right documents and gate pass apply.

Take responsibility for the success or failure of delivery schedule.

Responsible for troubleshooting any concern related to kitting related matter and ensure system transaction vs physical movement must be 100% aligned.

Work closely with material handler on the material accuracy at shopfloor

Work closely with planner & production on the discrepancies and preventive action to close the gap.

Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.

Ensure materials are appropriately Kit/Pick

Analyze Kitting operations, including performance and productivity data, error rates and root causes, capacity constraints.

Analytical skills: responsible for providing data analysis to the Kitting operations teams. So, it is essential that they have analytical and experience with data analytics and planning.

Familiar with basic safety protocols, such as wearing protective & ergonomic equipment, using proper lifting techniques, and using caution when handling high value and fragile items.

Organizational skills: To be successful on the job, must be organized and able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure in a fast-paced environment. They must be willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.

Communication skills: Communication is needed for working with people and completing job tasks effectively. So, it is important that applicants have exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Computer skills: To perform their job effectively, must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel, and have skills in utilizing logistics and SAP / WMS software.

Having a customer orientation helps to understand customer requirements, identify clients’ needs, and match them to appropriate solutions, or suggest and implement solutions to customer issues.

Education & Experience

Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Logistic / Store / Warehouse management or Science or equivalent.

5year(s) of working experience in the related Logistics, Store or Warehouse operations environment is desirable.

High sense of urgency. Good communication, planning, coordination and monitoring skills.

Able to drive forklift / reach truck preferred.

Preferably trained and have good knowledge in SAP / WMS or inventory management system.

Understanding of ISO 9001 & 14001.

Strong project management skills and ability to work well independently or as a part of a team.

Verbal and written communication and personal interface skills required.

Willing to overtime, hardworking, good working attitude and attendance.

Experience in a similar role / managing a group of people experience is a plus.
