This role involves efficiently planning and managing all inventory activities in the warehouse, monitoring and maintaining accuracy and integrity of inventories, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice, ISO, Sugar Tax Compliance and Occupational Safety and Health regulations. You will be responsible for strategically coordinating manpower and resources to guarantee timely export loading & local delivery and eliminate demurrage charges.
Key responsibilities
- Efficiently plan and manage all inventory activities in the warehouse
- Monitor and maintain accuracy and integrity of all inventories in warehouse
- Monitor safety stock level for all raw & packaging material and raise Purchase Requisition for stock replenishment if the stock level below safety stock level
- Ensure and enforce the first in first out (FIFO) system of issuing raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods
- Run MRP in ERP software system
- Strategically coordinate manpower and resources for timely export loading, eliminate any detention and demurrage charges, and maintain compliance for sugar tax-regulated inventory
- Support and monitor local delivery and promotional arrangements; ensuring maximum truck capacity utilization and cost-effective transportation
- Ensure procedures for product identification, handling, storage and preservation for all raw, packaging material and customer supplied products are carried out in compliance with SQMS documented requirements
- Ensure all activities in warehouse complies with Good Manufacturing Practice, ISO, Sugar Tax Compliance and Occupational Safety and Health regulations
- Execute scheduled cycle counts and annual stock count, ensuring accurate verification and timely reporting of inventory variances
- Coordinate timely collection with scrap buyer & ensure prompt invoicing with e-invoice regulations.
- Manage fleet compliance and documenattion, overseeing renewal of truck insurance, road tax & operating permits.
- Train & mentor team members on SQMS protocoals to maintan high-quality logistics operations & regulatory standards. Perform specific duties as and when required as a member of the SQMS Team.
- Ensure general cleanliness, hygience and housekeeping of the store areas.
- Any other related task as assigned by immediate superior.
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of logistics or warehouse experience, preferably in food & beverage manufacturing
- Experience in OEM manufacturing and customer order fulfilment is an advantage
- Knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control
- Understanding of FIFO/FEFO practices
- Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Sage, Miccrosoft Dynamics or equivalent)
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal logistics and traceability requirements
- Knowledge of customs and shipping procedures for domestic and export deliveries
- Strong planning and coordination skills
