Job summary

TF-AMD Penang seeks an experienced Logistics and Warehouse Manager to plan and oversee order fulfilment, traffic, warehousing, and trade compliance. You will coordinate with internal and external customers to ensure timely responses and efficient operations.

Candidates should have 8–10 years in warehousing and inbound/outbound shipping, familiarity with WMS SAP, and ability to forecast budgets and schedules, including peak periods.

Qualifications

• At least 8-10 years of working experience with managerial exposure.
• Experience in warehousing management, inbound/outbound shipping and order fulfilment.
• Exposure to WMS SAP and related systems.
• Ability to plan shipping schedules to meet delivery deadlines during peak periods.
• Forecast budgets for the entire warehousing and traffic operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities related to Order Fulfilment, Traffic, Logistics and Trade Compliance.
• Communicate, follow up, and coordinate timely response/action from the factory to issues raised by customers.
• Participate in projects related to Warehousing, Inventory, System, Trade Compliance.
• Identify and establish efficient storage space and systems to safeguard, track, and retrieve finished goods inventory.
• Manage freight billing verifications and budgeting with finance, with timely system updates.
• Oversee warehousing activities related to import/export, liaising with forwarders and government agencies.
• Procure licenses and renewals (e.g., Sub-Con licenses, LMW, bank guarantees, tax exemptions).
• Support tender processes for selecting forwarders/carriers based on rates and performance.
• Monitor forwarders/carriers' performance on OTD, lead times, and service quality.
• Hire, develop and coach subordinates for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Plans and implements activities related to Order Fulfilment, Traffic, Logistics and Trade Compliances
• Communicate, follow up, and coordinate timely response/action from the factory to specific issues brought up by internal/external customers
• Participate in specific projects related to Warehousing, Inventory, System, Trade Compliance.
• Identify and establish efficient/optimized storage space and system to safe keep, track, retrieve, and update finished goods inventory, in addition to security aspects
• Manage freight billing verifications, validations, working closely with finance on freight budgeting and cost monitoring, with timely updates in the system.
• Responsible for the Warehousing activities related to import and export, liaising with forwarders, carriers, and local government agencies to ensure conformance for controlled product shipment.
• Facilitates and coordinates the procurement of various licenses eg Sub-Con licenses, LMW, Bank guarantee, tax exemptions, and their periodic renewal as may be required
• Support in the negotiation, selection and appointment (jointly with tender committee) of forwarders/carriers regarding rates, schedules, space, cargo handling and services based on service performance and price competitiveness.
• Monitor forwarders/carriers' performance in terms of quality and responsiveness of service related to OTD, Lead Time, Expedite Service, hand carry, etc.
• Hire, develop and coach subordinates for continuous improvement and career developments
• Support full compliance with related audit requirements.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements: -

• At least 8-10 years of working experience, including experience in a managerial role.
• Experience in related warehousing management, inbound/outbound shipping and order fulfilment
• Exposure to WMS SAP
• Ability to plan shipping schedules to meet delivery deadlines during holidays, plant shutdown, etc.
• Forecast budget for the entire warehousing and traffic operations.
