A leading aquatics facility in Johor Bahru is seeking a responsible Lifeguard to supervise swimming activities and enforce safety regulations. Candidates should possess a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team. Entry-level applicants are welcome, with training provided, although a valid Lifeguard certification is an advantage. This role involves ensuring safety procedures, administering first aid, and inspecting facilities regularly.

Qualifications

• Entry level applicants are welcome; training will be provided.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• A valid Lifeguard certification (Bronze Medalist) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises swimming activities and ensures safety procedures are followed.
• Enforces pool regulations and warns swimmers of danger.
• Administers first aid and rescues swimmers in distress.
• Evaluates safety conditions and initiates emergency plans.
• Inspects pool facilities and equipment for safety.

Job description

Supervises swimming activities at the aquatics facility and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.

Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.

Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.

Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates the aquatics emergency action plan as required.

Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe as required.

Job Requirements

• Entry level applicants are welcome; training will be provided.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Having a valid Lifeguard certification (Bronze Medalist) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of CPR, First Aid and AED preferred.
• Energetic, positive, team‑player attitude and a hard worker.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality; ability to multi‑task.
