Job summary

Sutera Sanctuary Lodges is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to lead training across Sabah properties. You will shape annual plans, deliver onboarding and SOP training, and drive safety and leadership development to support talent succession.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in L&D within hospitality, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, plus a Train-the-Trainer certification and strong Bahasa Malaysia/English communication skills. Extensive travel to remote sites is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of L&D experience in hospitality, with at least 2 years at managerial level.
• Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certification.
• Analytical skills.
• Advanced presentation software and AI skills.
• Confident trainer with strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willing to travel frequently to remote, highland, and island properties.
• Passion for nature, sustainability and developing local talent.
