Job summary

Hartalega is seeking an experienced Learning and Development professional to lead and optimise L&D strategies, systems, and programs to strengthen organizational capability at our Malaysia site. You will manage the TNA process, LMS design and deployment, and deliver leadership and soft skills programs.

The role includes mentoring junior staff, driving cross-site capability building, governance and audits, and collaborating with HR and operations to upskill the workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Learning and Development or similar roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and analysis.
• Experience managing training functions with intermediate to advanced facilitation capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in instructional design, adult learning, training needs analysis, and e-learning platforms including LMS.
• Exposure to HR service quality management and HR policy framework administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and training plan development, including management of the LnD departmental budget.
• Oversee Learning Management System (LMS) optimisation and design, develop, and deliver leadership, soft skills, and on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
• Drive Accelerated Development and Supervisor Development initiatives while proposing and implementing innovative learning solutions.
• Manage external training vendors and partners, and collaborate with managers to deploy effective training interventions.
• Lead cross-functional Learning and Development projects to support capability building, integration, and workforce upskilling across sites.
• Conduct training audits and evaluations, serve as the primary audit liaison, and maintain LnD policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
• Mentor, guide, and supervise junior Learning and Development team members (E3 level and below).
• Participate actively in broader HR initiatives and cross-departmental projects as required.
• Manage additional Learning and Development tasks assigned by superiors to support departmental objectives.
