KNZ Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support fiber optic telecommunication operations, maintenance and project activities in Malaysia. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with exposure to client coordination and project documentation.
You will report to the Managing Director and work with clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely delivery of works and proper project documentation.
Salary: RM2,500 - RM3,000 per month
KNZ Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a motivated and responsible Junior Project Engineer to support our Fiber Optic Telecommunication Operations, Maintenance and Project activities.
This is an entry-level position suitable for fresh graduates or junior engineers who are interested in developing practical experience in telecommunication project coordination, fiber optic operations, client communication and project documentation.
The successful candidate will work closely with and report directly to the Managing Director, while coordinating with clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure assigned works and project deliverables are properly executed and completed.
Coordinate daily fiber optic telecommunication maintenance, operation and project activities.
Receive and follow up on work instructions, work orders and project requirements from Management and clients.
Coordinate with subcontractors, site supervisors and technical teams for execution of assigned works.
Monitor work progress and ensure assigned activities are completed according to the required timeline and client requirements.
Follow up with subcontractors on work status, outstanding activities, rectification works and required site information.
Attend site visits, surveys, inspections and coordination activities whenever required.
Assist in identifying site issues and coordinate with the relevant parties to resolve routine operational and project matters.
Escalate major technical, commercial or project issues to Management when necessary.
Prepare, compile and organise documentation required for fiber optic maintenance and project works.
Prepare and maintain daily reports, work completion reports, progress reports, site photographs, work records and other supporting documents.
Obtain the required information, photographs, test results and supporting documents from subcontractors and site teams.
Check documents for completeness and accuracy before submission.
Compile and submit project and maintenance documents to clients within the required timeline.
Maintain proper records of submissions, client comments, approvals and outstanding documents.
Update project trackers, work status and documentation records regularly.
Assist in preparing project completion, handover and close-out documentation.
Communicate with clients on routine project, operation, documentation and work progress matters.
Submit documents and supporting information to clients through the required communication or submission channels.
Attend meetings, discussions and coordination sessions with clients together with Management or independently when assigned.
Follow up on client comments, document requirements and outstanding submissions.
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to obtain information or corrective actions required by the client.
Provide regular updates to Management on work progress, client requirements and outstanding matters.
Communicate work requirements and instructions to the assigned subcontractors.
Monitor subcontractor work progress and obtain regular site updates.
Ensure subcontractors provide the necessary photographs, reports, test records and supporting documents after completion of works.
Assist in checking completed works against the assigned scope and client requirements.
Coordinate rectification or outstanding works when required.
Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, site personnel, clients and other project stakeholders.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Network Engineering or other relevant Engineering/Technical discipline.

Candidates with up to 2 years of working experience in telecommunication, fiber optic, construction, infrastructure, maintenance or project coordination will have an added advantage.
Basic understanding of telecommunication or fiber optic infrastructure is an advantage but not mandatory, as guidance and practical exposure will be provided.
Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to prepare and organise reports, documents and supporting records systematically.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Comfortable communicating and following up with clients, subcontractors and site personnel.
Willing to learn and develop knowledge in fiber optic telecommunication operations and project management.
Responsible, organised and able to follow through on assigned tasks.
Able to work independently on assigned tasks with guidance from Management.
Good attitude, initiative and willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Willing to travel and attend project or maintenance sites when required.
Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
