Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to own OSP/ISP fiber infrastructure projects (FTTx/FTTH). You will drive end-to-end delivery from planning to client acceptance, manage budgets, and coordinate with subcontractors to meet timelines and quality standards.

The role requires 8–10 years in telecom infrastructure, strong leadership and customer-facing communication, with travel to project sites within Johor and nearby regions.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years' experience in OSP/ISP fiber optic/telecom infrastructure projects
• 3–5 years in a Project Manager role
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within cost
• Experience with project tracking tools (MS Project, Primavera, Excel-based trackers)
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management
• Experience managing subcontractors and vendors
• Understanding of FTTx/OSP/ISP fundamentals
• Willingness to travel within Johor and surrounding regions

Responsibilities

• Act as overall project owner and master planner with schedules, milestones and resource plans for OSP/ISP rollouts
• Drive end-to-end delivery from planning through implementation, testing and client acceptance
• Prepare and manage costing sheets, budgets and cost control measures
• Track progress using project tracking tools and address variances
• Serve as primary client contact and manage expectations
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors to meet timelines and quality
• Identify risks and resolve blockers to keep delivery on track
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and site teams to remove blockers
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance on all projects
• Prepare status reports, forecasts and financial summaries for management and clients
• Lead project closure activities including client acceptance and lessons learned

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of OSP/ISP fiber infrastructure projects (FTTx/FTTH). This role acts as the master planner and overall driver of project delivery — responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, client communication, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, hands‑on leader with strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as overall project owner and master planner, developing detailed project schedules, milestones, and resource plans for OSP/ISP fiber rollouts
• Drive end-to-end project delivery — from planning and survey through implementation, testing, and client acceptance
• Prepare and manage costing sheets, budgets, and cost control measures to ensure projects are delivered within approved budget
• Track project progress rigorously using project tracking tools/systems, identifying variances early and taking corrective action
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients — providing regular updates, managing expectations, and resolving escalations promptly
• Engage, coordinate, and manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring performance aligns with project timelines, quality, and safety standards
• Proactively identify project risks, bottlenecks, and technical/operational issues, applying resourceful problem‑solving to keep delivery on track
• Coordinate cross‑functionally with engineering, procurement, and site teams to remove delivery blockers
• Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present project status reports, forecasts, and financial summaries to management and clients
• Lead project closure activities, including client acceptance, documentation handover, and lessons‑learned reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience in OSP/ISP fiber optic/telecom infrastructure projects, with at least 3–5 years in a Project Manager role
• Proven track record of delivering fiber/telecom infrastructure projects on time and within cost
• Strong command of project tracking and management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Excel‑based trackers, or similar)
• Solid experience preparing costing sheets, budgets, and commercial/financial project documentation
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills — able to manage expectations and build trust with stakeholders
• Strong experience managing and engaging subcontractors and third‑party vendors
• Resourceful, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong troubleshooting and decision‑making ability under pressure
• Solid understanding of FTTx/OSP/ISP technical fundamentals (design, implementation, testing, acceptance)
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Willing to travel for site visits within Johor and surrounding regions

Good to Have

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
• Prior experience with telco operators or system integrators in Malaysia
• Experience managing multi‑site or multi‑vendor fiber rollout programs
