Job summary

WZR PROPERTY SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer responsible for supervising and managing site activities for Telecommunication and ELV projects. This role covers site acquisition, construction, testing, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with specifications, authority requirements, and project timelines.

The candidate will oversee construction works, coordinate site setting-out, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and provide technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in site supervision and project coordination (5+ years).
• Familiarity with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and MCMC regulations, TNB requirements, and local authority guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Construction management: Ensure smooth execution of construction works.
• Building works supervision: Oversee internal and external building activities.
• Site setting-out: Coordinate site setting-out between subcontractors and main contractors.
• Stakeholder liaison: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, quantity surveyors, and Project Manager.
• Technical support: Provide technical advice and resolve site issues.
• Documentation: Prepare site reports, drawings (Tender, Shop, Construction, As-Built), and submit catalogues/brochures.
• Issue escalation: Report problems or new discoveries to higher management for immediate action.
• Project compliance: Ensure project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Site acquisition: Manage site acquisition for telecommunication towers, including negotiations, authority approvals, and compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga, MCMC, TNB, and local councils.
• Testing & commissioning: Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of Telecommunication and ELV systems.
• Resource management: Manage manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize site operations.
• Contract administration: Support Project Manager in managing contracts, claims, and variations.
• Continuous improvement: Recommend process improvements and adopt best practices for site operations.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

Strong knowledge of ELV systems and Telecommunication infrastructure, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Familiarity with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and MCMC regulations, TNB requirements, and local authority guidelines.

Proven experience in site supervision, project coordination, and stakeholder management, preferably 5 years and more.

Knowledge of contract management and site documentation.Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills to manage site teams effectively.

Exposure to safety precautions and procedures in construction environments.
