Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is looking for a passionate Junior Mechanical Design Engineer (Fresh Graduate) to join their team in the oil & gas and petrochemical industry. The role involves supporting design and development of leak sealing solutions, performing design calculations, and assisting in technical documentation. Fresh graduates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering are encouraged to apply. This position offers training in various engineering aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (CGPA 3.0 and above).
• Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support in the design and development of clamps and enclosures.
• Perform design calculations related to pressure containment.
• Assist in technical documentation in line with ASME requirements.
• Collaborate with fabrication and operations teams.
• Participate in technical reviews and client discussions.

Skills

Basic knowledge in piping, fittings, flanges

Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section VIII

Understanding of ASME PCC-2

Exposure to API standards

Ability to interpret P&ID and fabrication drawings

Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis

Proficient in SolidWorks

Proficient in Autocad

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
