Job summary

CRBC SSLR is seeking a finance professional to support day-to-day accounting and project accounts at Sarawak sites. You will manage AP, AR, and GL, and conduct month-end close under guidance from the Finance Manager.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor's in Accounting or professional qualification, 1–2 years' experience, and strong Excel skills. On-site work in Sarawak is essential; construction industry exposure is a plus.

Job description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company and project accounts based at project sites in Sarawak.

Key responsibilities

Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)

Perform month-end and year-end closing activities within given timelines

Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and petty cash reimbursements

Prepare payment vouchers and cheques

Ensure timely payment to suppliers and subcontractors

Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis

Coordinate and liaise with related departments on accounting matters

Assist in the preparation of tax filings (SST, PCB) and liaise with external auditors and tax agents as needed

Perform inter-company billing transactions and reconciliation

Maintain organized and proper filing systems for all financial documents for audit and compliance purposes

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related field, or a Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA, ACCA, MIA)

At least 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in accounting (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)

Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations (LHDN, SST)

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Strong communication skills in English

Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented attitude

Experience in the construction industry is an added advantage

Willingness to work on-site at project locations in Sarawak is essential
