Job summary

China Construction Development (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated Account Executive to join the Finance team. The role requires solid accounting experience, meticulous attention to detail, and a drive to develop within a professional organisation.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, monitor AP and GL, assist in audits and tax activities, and ensure compliance with SOPs and company policies. Multilingual communication skills are valued in this dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong command of English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience in audit and/or taxation will be an added advantage.
• Experience in handling full-set accounts and finalisation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and various financial reports.
• Manage and maintain financial data, records and reports for accuracy.
• Monitor AP and GL activities, including vendor and inter-company reconciliations.
• Assist in audit activities and tax-related matters, including WHT.
• Ensure timely compliance with accounting, finance and tax requirements.
• Perform accounting activities per SOPs and company policies.
• Independently prioritise daily tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Report to Finance Manager/Supervisor and provide guidance to subordinates.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and various financial reports.
• Manage and maintain financial data, records and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) activities, including vendor and inter-company reconciliations.
• Assist in audit activities and tax-related matters, including the preparation and submission of Withholding Tax (WHT).
• Ensure timely compliance with applicable accounting, finance, and tax requirements.
• Perform accounting activities in accordance with company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Independently prioritize daily tasks and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
• Report to and work closely with the Finance Manager/Supervisor.
• Provide guidance to subordinates where required.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and Word.
• Good command of English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Candidates with experience in audit and/or taxation will have an added advantage.
• Experience in an accounting or audit firm is an advantage.
• Experience in handling full-set accounts and account finalisation is highly advantageous.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
