Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage full-set accounts and project costing for construction and data centre projects in Johor Bahru. You will handle AP/AR/GL, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and monthly management reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax requirements.

Handle full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
Manage project accounting and job costing for construction / data centre projects.
Monitor project budget, actual costs, commitments, cash flow and profitability.
Handle progress billing, collections, retention, subcontractor and supplier payments.
Work closely with Project, QS, Commercial and Procurement teams on project financial matters.
Monitor Variation Orders, claims, accruals, WIP and project cost variances.
Prepare monthly management reports, project cost reports and financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, tax and statutory requirements.
Liaise with China counterparts / Finance teams in Mandarin on accounting matters, financial reporting, project costs and other finance-related issues.
Support audit, tax matters and other ad-hoc financial assignments as required.

Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction, engineering or data centre industries.
Strong knowledge of full-set accounting and project accounting.
Experience in job costing, project billing, subcontractor accounting and project financial analysis is highly preferred.
Mandarin proficiency is required for communication and coordination with China counterparts.
Good command of English; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting / autocount systems.
Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills.
Able to work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to work at JB Kempas and 5.5 working days (Sat half day)
