Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an IT Hardware Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot IT hardware across sites in Penang. You will handle cabling, patch panels, and network layouts while providing on-site and remote support for hardware issues.

The role requires travel to different locations, independent work, and adherence to technical diagrams and installation plans.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with IT hardware installation and maintenance (PCs, printers, CCTV, APs, network devices).
• Basic IT knowledge to support end users and troubleshoot simple IT issues.
• Experience with cabling, patch panels, and network layout preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Possess own transport and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot IT hardware including computers, printers, network devices, access points, and CCTV systems.

• Replace faulty hardware components and manage hardware inventory and lifecycle.
• Provide on-site and remote support to end users for hardware issues and basic IT problems.

• Assist with rollout and installation of new hardware or IT-related projects.
• Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely manner.
• Travel to different locations as needed for deliveries and to support hardware installation and maintenance.
• Evaluate and report on new technologies and equipment for potential deployment.
