Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to own the stability, security, and performance of our IT environment in Kuala Lumpur. This role is ideal for a senior infrastructure professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex technical challenges, and driving improvements across infrastructure and cybersecurity.
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the company's IT environment while working closely with Group IT and Cybersecurity teams in Singapore.
This is an individual contributor position with significant autonomy and influence. You will independently manage day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, coordinate vendors, support cybersecurity initiatives, and lead local infrastructure projects that support the business's continued growth and digital transformation agenda.
Manage and maintain servers, virtual environments, storage systems, backup solutions and networking infrastructure.
Monitor system health, availability, security and performance.
Ensure reliable operation of enterprise systems and shared services.
Support cybersecurity controls, monitoring and incident management.
Work with HQ cybersecurity teams on security initiatives and compliance requirements.
Support technologies such as XDR, SOC services, endpoint protection, email security and vulnerability management.
Drive security awareness and good cyber hygiene practices.
Plan and coordinate infrastructure improvement projects.
Support implementation of new solutions, upgrades and technology initiatives.
Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Act as Level 2/Level 3 escalation point for complex technical issues.
Support end-user computing environments and critical business systems.
Deliver practical solutions that enhance user productivity.
Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity vendors.
Monitor service performance, project milestones and operational deliverables.
Ensure vendors meet agreed service levels and business requirements.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related discipline.
Approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration or IT operations.
Hands‑on experience in areas such as Windows Server, Virtualisation (VMware preferred), Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Network Infrastructure, Firewalls, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Cybersecurity Operations.
Exposure to cybersecurity technologies such as XDR, SOC, Mimecast or endpoint security solutions would be advantageous.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Experience managing vendors and coordinating project delivery.
Able to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
