Job summary

UTS Marketing Solutions Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator for day-to-day IT infrastructure management and maintenance. The role focuses on keeping systems up, secure, and well-documented while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Computer Science/IT degree with 3-4 years of Wintel experience; Linux familiarity is a plus, and knowledge of virtualization and IT security is required. This is a full-time on-site position in KL.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Wintel-based System Administration.
• Linux experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in system administration including capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Competency in Windows technical skills.
• Exposure to server virtualization technology and IT security.
• Preferred experience managing IT in a call-centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Wintel server on-premise.
• Oversee upgrade/migration of existing systems as needed.
• Ensure secure, reliable and stable operation of systems & domain controller.
• Maintain accurate system change management and configuration records.
• Provide statistics on system performance and health checks.
• Oversee backup and recovery strategy for Windows-based systems.
• Manage storage allocation and storage overall.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with application, network, telephony, and desktop teams.
• Notify IT head of potential system health issues.
• Document system/infrastructure details and changes.
• Ensure adherence to security procedures and audit requirements.
• Maintain desktop PCs and notebooks.

We are seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to join our growing team. This full-time role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our company's IT infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

What you'll be doing:

• To manage the Wintel server on-premise.
• To oversee, include upgrade/migration of all existing systems as needed.
• To ensure secure, reliable and stable operation of the systems & domain controller.
• To ensure an accurate system change management, reflecting current and historical system parameter and configuration setting, includes system / security patches and fixes.
• To provide statistics on system performance & system health check report.
• To oversee backup and recovery strategy for all Window-based system.
• To oversee and manage proper storage allocation and management of overall storage.
• Work closely with application, network, telephony, desktop team for daily maintenance and support.
• To notify head of IT on potential problems associated with the system health.
• System / infrastructure related documentation.
• To ensure security procedures and audit requirements at adhered to at all times.
• Maintaining Desktop PC & Notebook.

What we’re looking for:
